Any chance of an introductory class in the evenings or on a weekend for those of us
seniors still working?
Sounds like a great game for us former tennis players.
Thanks
Mike,
Thank you for your comment re: Upcoming Introduction to Pickleball Classes – We would really like to give evening and weekend classes for those seniors and non seniors that have to work, but unfortunately right now we don’t have the courts for evenings… HomeCourt YMCA allows us to play in the mornings because there are no conflicts with the kids – in the afternoons and evenings it’s all basketball and volleyball for the kids… When we venture outside for the summer, then we will be happy to have evenings classes – so continue following our blog for the announcement!! Thanks again for your comment, if by chance you can get a day off of work to come watch and play with us, we would love to have you… We are at HomeCourt now Mon-Fri 9am to noon…

Any news on evening/ weekend intro to pickleball classes for working adults or are there any beginner level leagues that run in the evening/weekends for my husband and I this fall?
Mike,
I’d be quite willing to teach a Pickleball class in the evening–several people I know have expressed regret that we don’t offer a class at that time–but space is an issue. This spring we’ll see if we can’t find space at Homecourt, or possibly offer an outdoor class. Stay tuned….
I would love to attend evening classes. Are there any available now? Thanks!
My husband and I would like to learn how to play. We work during the day. Are there evening classes available?
Are there any classes in July or August?
Thank you
I’m with Vickie & Deb Herold….I would like to learn to play. Should we just show up at the Meridian YMCA MWF mornings? If so, will there be equipment to borrow?
Hi Nancy,
I’m glad that you’re wanting to learn to play Pickleball – it’s a great sport and social game… I would suggest going to Homecourt YMCA and then asking players to show you how to play to get started, I’m sure most people there would be happy to get you started… There are some paddles in a black and red bag that you are welcome to use and indoor balls are provided, so the only thing you will need are a good pair of court (tennis) shoes. The cost is $5.30 for Homecourt fee… If you find that you love the game and would like to purchase your own paddle – my husband (Nick) and I (Simply Pickleball) have new paddles that you’re welcome to try out before you buy if you’re interested.
If you have any further questions, feel free to email or call at 208-965-8719…
Thanks and happy pickling:)
